Tune Hotels

During my recent trip to Kuala Lumpur, I stayed in Tune Hotels at LCCT.

Well, I just wanted to try the actual feeling of `5-star sleeping experience at a 1-star price', and see how Dato' Tony Fernandes' concept of a budget hotel looks like. The banner said the room costs RM 9.99 onward. Very true, I got it at RM 69.90 via online booking.

I arrived at the hotel kind of early, around 1.30pm, and the receiption told me that I could only check in at 4.00pm. I requested to leave my luggage with them and that costed me RM 2.00 per luggage.
The room rate did not include airconditioning service. I had to pay additional RM 12.00 for 12 hours usage, and it was controlled by a timer.

The room looks nice with decorative patterns on the walls.

But, it was rather small. I had to place my luggage on the floor against the well, and I hardly had space to walk.
There was no table and chair in the room, except this retractable shelf.

But, there was a mini safe besides the bed to keep my valuable belonging.

The shower room looked nice, and the shower was very powerful too. Kind of enjoyable to have a hot water shower, but...........
The enjoyment did not last long, because the bathroom started to flood. I just wonder, it is the strategic method to control room guess from having too long a shower and avoid wasting of the precious water.
No opportunity for making money will be left out. In the room as well as in the bathroom, there were advertisement spaces for rent.
Staying in Tune Hotel, every services costed money. End up, I was paying RM 109.90 for a night stay. Is this so called `1-star price'? or just a business strategy to earn more money?
