Bulan Ramadan

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and indulging in anything that is in excess or ill-natured; from dawn until sunset. Fasting is meant to teach, and to offer more prayer than usual. During Ramadan, Muslims ask forgiveness for past sins, pray for guidance and help in refraining from everyday evils, and try to purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds. (Wikipedia)

For muslims, the meaning of Ramadan is not fasting only, it is a month where they share the sollow of the poor and unfortunate. In this regards, my office organised a very meaningful function last Tuesday evening......

`Berbuka Puasa' (breaking fast) together with 30 orphans for PEYATIM, Kuching ........

at Banquet Restaurant.....accompanied by our top management and staffs.....

The dinner was in buffet style........

with quite a variety of food and dessert.......

Ranging from the delicious local delicacy......

to the yummy western BBQ lamb and simple salad......... We hope you all have a joyful party that night...

As for me, I am completely helpless. I cannot offer much help to this group of unfortunate children. I only pray that GOD will continue to guard them, strenghten their faith and award them with the necessary confidence required to face the future. May happiness be always with them, and forget all the unfortunate occurance.
